That is why the Portuguese Government Program is strategically supported in the concept of circular economy. Circular economy by replacing the “end-of-life” concept of linear economics with new circular flows of re-use, restoration, and renewal, in an integrated process, is a key element in promoting the decoupling between economic growth and the use of resources, traditionally seen as inexorable.
Summing up, the objective is the development of new products and economically viable and ecologically efficient services, rooted in ideally perpetual cycles of upstream and downstream reconversion.
