Monaco. Passionate about the Sea

Which of the projects that your foundation supports do you feel is the most important?

All the projects are equally important, but I am of course pleased to note the valuable role that my foundation plays in terms of uniting environmental NGOs—both through the lobbying efforts that are always necessary as well as through certain international initiatives. In twelve years, the involvement of my foundation alongside its partners has notably made it possible to act for the conservation of endangered species e.g. marine species such as red tunny and the monk seal; to increase our scientific knowledge of the climate and climate change; to preserve and restore fragile ecosystems both on land and at sea; but also to drive international negotiations on the environment forward. Lastly, operating a transition towards a carbon-free economy is also one of the foundation’s most central concerns. We also support several renewable energy projects in different regions of the world.
